‘20th Circuit Suspects’ to go to Canadian doc festival

Hessam Eslami’s doc ‘20th Circuit Suspects’ has been scheduled to be screened at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

The documentary, produced by Iran’s Documentary & Experimental Film Center, will go on screen at the World Showcase of the event.

The 90-minute documentary, which was premiered at the 10th edition of the Cinema verite in Tehran and received the best documentary Crystal Simorgh at the 35th edition of Fajr Film Festival, depicts five years of the life of a number of young people in prision.

The Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is North America's largest documentary film festival, conference and market, held annually in Canada.

Launched in 1993, the festival screens more than 170 documentaries from all around the world every year.

The 2017 edition of the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is slated for April 27 to May 7.
